The Card contains Holy Sand taken from the Tomb of St.Thomas. The sand is believed to have miraculous healing powers. Pictures of the Church, St.Thomas, Tomb of St.Thomas and Our Lady of Mylapore are also given.

During the 2004 renovation a little of the sand was taken from the tomb and the same is used for making the card.

The Back of the Card contains information about the visit of St.Thomas to India and His martyrdom.

This Card is designed to look like a Credit Card to enable people to carry it along with them either in their Credit Card holder or Wallet.

St.Thomas Relic Card Explained

The spire of the Gothic Cathedral, rising into the sky is symbolic of rising up and up into heaven.

The water and the shore reminds us of the voyage of St.Thomas.

Numbers: 0052- The year of arrival of St.Thomas to India, 0072-The year of His martyrdom, 0703 - July 3rd , feast of St.Thomas.

2004 - A historic event - major renovation of the Basilica and the blessing of the underground tomb chapel.

At the bottom of the card are pictures of St.Thomas holding a lance and a book, The Tomb, The Relic and Our Lady of Mylapore.

On the top right corner, a little sand from the tomb is embedded. The sand is said to have miraculous healing powers.
