DOST - Disciples of St.Thomas


DOST is a formation of laypersons (men and women), guided by the Gospel of Divine Master,
to help the church and clergy ( Rector, Parish Priest, Vicar, Religous Men and Women and Community)
by devoting their time, talent, skills, knowledge, experience and resources to the maximum extent possible.
They are bound by the ideals of Apostle St.Thomas.
They seek strength in solidarity, security through unity of purpose and devotion to a holy cause.
They are the defenders of their country, their families and their faith .
Hence they take pride in identifying themselves as the "Right Arm of the Church" (RAC).

Objectives of DOST :

  • To Promote Awareness of St.Thomas' Apostolic Message of Love and Peace through media - print, telecast, broadcast, modern devices etc.
  • To do Charitable Services like helping the poor, needy, weaker section of the society and victims of natural calamities.
  • To Distribute books to students and coach them to do better in studies.
  • To Distribute food and medicine to the poor, sick and to those affected by natural calamities.
  • To Institute Awards and Scholarships, to encourage deserving students.
  • To Provide Assistance to pursue research in the field of Science, Technology, Humanities, Management, History etc.
  • To Unite people irrespective of Caste, Creed, Language etc.
  • To Foster the Spirit of Universal Brotherhood and encourage people to live in harmony.
  • To Nurture talents in the field of Art, Music, Sports, Literature and Photography.
